hi Minnie Dickens,
Why aren’t the Bernina, Viking, and Pfaff machines included in reviews? I always thought these were the Cadillac of machines. Is this not so? I need a machine to use with heavy materials as well as foam. I make bags, totes, purses. Now I am more confused than ever.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Tamara
I think it may be because of their much higher price. There are more people buying machines less than $600 and those machines sell for much much more. I have a older model Bernina (weighs a ton) and they can’t be beat. I also have a Janome that I purchased for @ $130 some years back and I believe it has jump timing. I am debating on having it repaired or getting a similar replacement which will cost about the same. I will say the Janome has served me well and after reading the reviews of those dissatisfied with these newer machines, I am thinking about having this one repaired.
Thanks for your information.
